GETTING STARTED WITH LINKEDIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS (09:30-13:00)

A practical, hands-on-workshop to get you started networking on LinkedIn - Intended for those with minimal or no prior experience.

At the end of the session you’ll have the confidence and skills to connect and potentially win business directly through LinkedIn.

After the half day workshop you will have: 

  • A clear understanding of how LinkedIn works and how to get the most out of it for your business
  • An effective and compelling personal profile
  • Searched through an existing address book and connected with a handful of business contacts
  • Learnt how to make invitations and get introduced
  • Learnt about privacy issues and best practice
  • Learnt how to use the ‘Skills’ section and select what’s relevant to your business network
  • An understanding of the power of recommendations and ensure that you receive great testimonials
  • A clear idea of what content to share
  • Posted your first status update.

Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop delegates are asked to bring their own Wi-Fi enabled laptop to the session (PC’s available at a cost of £10 each). 

 

ADVANCED LINKEDIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS (14:30-17:30)

A practical hands-on workshop to advance your skills in LinkedIn - Intended for those with a profile and good grounding in LinkedIn.

At the end of the session you'll have the confidence and skills to use all of LinkedIn's features, to be seen as an expert in your field, and network more effectively.

After the half day workshop you will have learned:

  • How to get the most from the advanced features of LinkedIn included Advanced Searches
  • How to connect LinkedIn with your website and other social media platforms including best practice
  • How to get the most out of LinkedIn Groups - search for the right ones for you, join, and start your own
  • How to Ask Questions - a useful research tool and a way to connect outside your current network
  • To understand privacy issues, settings and best practice, including potential legal issues
  • How to post Events to increase your marketing reach
  • How to set up a Company Page to build brand awareness for your company, staff and services
  • How to use the features of LinkedIn apps
  • To understand the difference between Basic and LinkedIn Premium - and whether you should upgrade

Due to the hands-on nature of this workshop delegates are asked to bring their own Wi-Fi enabled laptop to the session (PC’s available at a cost of £10 each). 


Participants on either/both workshops are invited to a networking lunch from 13:00-14:30 (included in the ticket price)
